Just installed the GE 15701 smart digital timer. In manual mode, timer just blinks and shuts off?
Not sure what is going on...I conected the right wires...red to red, wht to wht, blk to blk and green to earth.
Tried reseting as per one suggestion. No luck. This is a three way switch, do do I need a timer on both the switches?
Answer:
Just because a wire in your box is white does not mean that it is a white/neutral.
I think your white may actually be a switched leg
What does this box control?
Is this a single pole or 3way circut?
Is this box controlling a fan and light?
With home wiring sometimes color is not what you would think.

So you have a three way!!
Forget colors
You are missing a white/neutral
You have one common and two travelers.
When you disconnected your switch, one wire was marked on switch as common and the other two are travelers. you need a fourth wire
If you read spec. sheet you must have a neutral.
