Recently my cat has developed a new behavior ODD, with his clothes in his mouth and makes a funny meow?
My 7-year-old cat was carrying the underwear, socks, kitchen towls down the steps and makes a strange meowing sound, as does he. Does anyone ever experienced? Or know what can it mean? It just seems that it is while I'm at work (3rd shift) and am my mother's home and told me about it. Many Thanks!

It's hunting behavior. I've seen my cats do when they are "working cats" and would bring dead prey back into the house to share - crooning let you know, they have something that was perhaps a little bragging. Now that we have moved to the city, they are indoor cats and have retired. But they hum and lead toys and other strange objects around. I have seen them wearing seat belts, big fluffy makeup brush, socks and shoe insoles.
