Like the queen, I use for my corn bread to avoid, especially in the summer months, the house heats with the oven. I use it also to my cookie quickie version of hoe-cake (sort of). Just add milk to self-rising flour so the dough the same viscosity as wafer is. If you have not even rising flour 2 teaspoons baking powder just add for each cup all-purpose flour. I also use these "biscuits" for open face Sandwiches. If the children "we were little done" sneaker sole, egg toast. Add Spread about 1 tablespoon of flour per egg, a light of cinnamon and whisk together well. Serve w / hot syrup, French toast as you. I've also Iron cooked hash browns and fried eggs and sausage patty in a waffle - our old furnace has an "Ole Sparkie" Routine one morning, and I was anything but Cheerios (not hungry my waffle iron reversible plates). It worked pretty well.
