Frequently Asked Questions ...
What is the difference between district maple, cherry, oak, and sawing, if all stains are the same color?
I would like to renovate my kitchen plate with espresso cabinets (a contemporary look without framing details of the cabinet doors). I am if I go to maple, cherry or something else stuck like quarter sawn oak materials. There is an espresso-dark paint, which types are the differences in the various Wood?-Will the choice of wood color of the doors? How much wood cores will show wood, in any type of stains if the color is so dark? What would be different properties in each type of wood? - Recommendation to a specific timber? Thanks,
Answer
There is some real poor advice so far. Here's the deal. As far as costs Oak is the cheapest, maple is about 15% more than oak and cherry is about 40% more than oak. Quartersawn oak is very hard to find and if you do, you have your home mortgage to to buy it. Quartersawn is generally on nearly all the furniture way back in the day. Today antiques, which we call almost all quartersawn. What you may have about his thinking is the color. Please separate color from wood. Cherry has a dark red color in its natural state and is warm and beautiful with almost any stain. Cherry is a soft Wood, so not a good choice when it destructive dogs or children are around. Oak is very tough and durable and takes almost every spot color beautiful. Oak is grainy and some people do not like it. It is common and most cost effective. Maple is the hardest wood, you can buy the next Nussbaum. Maple realize his condition whitish yellow in its natural. When I took spot provincial and turned on each type of wood I would like to get a different color. Since cherry is so soft, it will obviously absorb more color and are very dark. Maple is very hard, so very little and remain absorb light. Oak is a good example of this hard since the grains do not absorb and the soft grains do. One can clearly see all the oak, what I mean espresso. Is very very dark, which means that you hide the wood grain of oak is very des granular, and then cherry, maple then. Why pay maple oak price if you go that put darkness it hides a spot on the grain? If you are on a budget, then the Stick. Dark colors are the new craze, despite a small kitchen, but I still have not jumped to this new fad or not. Hope this helps .........
