Water dispenser refrigerator clean?

Hey everyone. My refrigerator water dispenser is in a desperate Need of cleaning ... the water tastes awful, even if the filter is changed and now I began to notice that black specs are donor is out of the water! Since this form specs when the water is still, I guess they are not mushrooms and bits of charcoal. I drink water from the tap, so I use now is not the donor, but it would still nice to know, to do something about it ... It looks ugly!

Answer:

I still think it could be charcoal. But you said that the Water tastes really bad. They do not say what brand or model, so I can not help much. But I know that Whirlpool will work without the filter. GE's with a bypass for it to get that. Some will not. I say remove the filter first and rinse it if you. Can one problem is that the carbon removes the chlorine in the water. Then stuff can grow when it goes unused. You can use the chlorine water in it by flushing it available without the filter. Use On older tank, that an actual, I have seen build up sediment in the tank. These tanks are located behind the crispers. Some can remove. Some may not (without cutting them off and you are connections) But sometimes you can remove the screws and rotate it and then rinse it out by it. You might glance at the lines themselves and see if you have a form in the lines to see. Under the device is the most likely place where they warm to themselves. You can lines must be replaced. The only time I've seen that here is if the customer double filter with an activated carbon filter for the whole kitchen and second on the refrigerator. Definitely no chlorine for them. Good Luck.
